It is one of the most impressive buildings, as El Castell is a double fortress divided into two parts. Built on Roman and Iberian remains, it offers a glimpse into the history represented by its walls.
Furthermore, we will find the fortress embracing the nature of Sierra Castell, from which the castle derives its name. It becomes an important stone bastion with gardens, columns, and cross-shaped elements—an impressive architectural feat.
Afterward, we will take a walk through the historic center of Xátiva before returning to our vehicles and heading towards the Cervelló Palace in Anna.
Anna, a city rich in history, will be the focus of our visit to the Palace of the Counts of Cervellón. Located in the historic center of Anna, this palace recreates the decorative world of the Muslims. Since the 12th century, the Muslims settled in the municipality and left their decorative style in mosaics, courtyards, and rooms.
On our way back to Valencia, we will make a final stop to capture the beauty of Lake Anna’s surroundings.
