The excursion to Chulilla is a full-day trip where we will explore the Turia River Canyon, with its walls excavated by the river, reaching over 100 meters in height.
On this excursion, we will head towards the interior of the Valencian Community, specifically to Chulilla, a village of no more than 1,000 inhabitants located in the mountains and traversed by the Turia River—an essential part of the historical heritage of this enclave. Chulilla, besides its natural beauty, was an important Muslim settlement that left behind the Islamic castle. After the Christian reconquest, remodeling works were carried out, but to this day, it remains a place worthy of a visit.
The full-day excursion to Chulilla stands out not only for the stroll through the village and the castle but also for the moderate hiking route along the gorge path. The trail crosses the canyon several times using hanging bridges, offering breathtaking views.
With a guided and interpreted visit to the nature and ecosystem of the riverbank, we will get to know one of the main hydrographic resources of the province of Valencia.
