Leaving from Granada towards the coast we will find this territory known as the Alpujarras. It is a complex of different villages, each of them more beautiful, white-washed and with singular structures. It is a must to understand the history of Andalusia, Granada and the Arab world.
We will start our tour in Lanjaron to enjoy its fountains, water and beauty from the Nasrid bridge of Tablate. From here we will start to understand the relationship of moriscos with this lands. We will have many stops and little strolls during the tour.
The next stop will be Poqueira Valley, the Gualdalfeo Valley and Sierra Nevada. Possibly this is the best moment to take a good picture as a memory to remember in the heart of Alpujarras.
From the most impressive stops, we highlight especially the water springs of Fuente Agria, Chorrerón de Pórtugos, Capilerilla and Pampaneira.
Our local guide will accompany the group as they know the mountains and area perfectly and are nature lovers and specialists in surprising travelers.
Stop and tour to places such us Tablate bridge, Castle of Lanjaron, viewpoints of the Valley Poqueira and Chorreron de Portugos.

All the planing and expense for my trip to Granada would have been in vain if not for the help of Lilly. We ended up getting the Granada card with guided tour of Alhambra for 2. It was a lot more than I had intended to spend as I had not wanted a tour. However I was so incredibly happy that I went with Discovering Spain. We saved so much by going with them directly rather than an online company. Our guide Jesus is an art historian with so much of passion, talent and knowledge. He gave so much colour and depth to our tour. He was patient and interested in what we wanted to do. He went at our pace (my Mum is 71), and tailor’s the tour to your interests, and was a real gentleman. Lilly was super helpful with local tips and a very prompt and good communicator. What I like most about Lilly was that she was so helpful and professional and didn’t try to sell me something I didn’t want or need. We did end up making pretty good use of the Granada Card and the Alhambra tour was the most memorable experience my Mum and I have had in the longest time.
