Alhambra Tickets

Alhambra tickets

The Alhambra is a UNESCO World Heritage Site located in Granada, South Spain. It is a complex of palaces, gardens, and fortifications that was built by the Nasrid dynasty in the 13th and 14th centuries. The Alhambra is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Spain, and it attracts millions of visitors each year.

The monument can be visited in different ways, and with different types of tickets, and in this post we will discover for you all of them, so you will be able to choose the best option for your visit.

A little advice to start planning

Adequate planning is recommended, taking into account the time available, the accessibility of the monument, the weather, and your needs and interests.

There are four visitable spaces inside the monument: Alcazaba Fortress, Nasrid Palaces, Partal Gardens, and Generalife Palace.

The order of visit must be established taking into account the time of entry to the Nasrid Palaces, expressly indicated in your ticket and which must be strictly followed, otherwise you will lose the right to visit it. The whole monument visit duration is around three hours to complete.

Important information to get the Alhambra  tickets

  • Purchase tickets in advance: Alhambra is a popular tourist sight, and tickets are very likely to sell out. So we highly recommend purchasing the tickets as soon as you decide to visit the monument.
  • Personal information is required: Your name, surname, nationality, and passport number (your ID card or driver’s license are also valid documents) will be required to buy the tickets. Tickets are nominated and non-transferable. The day of the visit the document used to make the reservation will be required at the entrance of the monument.
  • Ticket modification and cancellation policy: Any purchase of tickets is definitive, so their cancellation or refund of the amount is not contemplated.

Types of Alhambra tickets

There are seven different types of Alhambra tickets available (plus, two tickets for the Andalusian monuments around the city). But we can create two main groups of tickets: the ones that include the entry to the Nasrid Palaces, and the ones that don’t.

The reason for this distinction is because The Nasrid Palaces are the most demanded area into the Alhambra and also the one with more restrictions.

Tickets that include the Nasrid Palace entry

  1. Alhambra General: Daytime visit of the Alcazaba, Nasrid Palaces, Partal Gardens, Generalife Palace
  2. Night Visit to Nasrid Palaces: Night time visit to the Nasrid Palaces
  3. Dobla de Oro General: Daytime visit of the Alcazaba, Nasrid Palaces, Partal Gardens, Generalife Palace; and daytime visit of the Andalusian monuments* (Corral del Carbón, Bañuelo, Dar al-Horra Palace, Moorish House, Chapiz House, and Zafra House)
  4. Dobla de Oro at Night: Nasrid Palaces night visit, and daytime visit for the Andalusian monuments* (Bañuelo, Dar al-Horra Palace, Moorish House, Chapiz House, and Zafra House)
  5. Alhambra Experiences: Nasrid Palace night visit and the next day, daytime visit to the Alcazaba, Partal Gardens, and Generalife Palace.

Tickets that do NOT include the Nasrid Palace entry

  1. Gardens, Generalife, and Alcazaba: Daytime visit to the Alcazaba, Partal Gardens, Generalife Palace
  2. Night Visit to Gardens and Generalife: Night time visit to the Nasrid Palaces
  3. Andalusian Monuments: Day time visit of the andalusian monuments* (Corral del Carbón, Bañuelo, Dar al-Horra Palace, Moorish House)

All the tickets previously listed include entry to Carlos V Palace and Justice Door in the monument opening hours.

* For the Andalusian monuments, the ticket will be valid for three days: the day before, the same day, and the day after the Alhambra visit.
