The Nasrid Palaces are one of the most popular tourist destinations in Granada, Spain. Built by the Nasrid dynasty, the palaces are a UNESCO World Heritage Site and are known for their intricate tile work, delicate stucco, and stunning views.

The Nasrid Palaces are also home to some of the most beautiful gardens in the world. These gardens are a place of peace and tranquility, and they offer a welcome respite from the hustle and bustle of the city.

Are you ready to discover with us these peaceful oases?

The Generalife Gardens

The Generalife is a summer palace located just outside the Nasrid Palaces.

Gardens of the Generalife are a masterpiece of Islamic garden design. They are filled with fountains, pools, and flowers, and they offer stunning views of the Sierra Nevada mountains.

Every time it is great to visit and discover this part of Alhambra, but of course, if you come during the spring you will see the gardens in all their splendor and you will be able to appreciate the explosion of colors of its thousands of flowers

Patio de la Acequia

It is one of the most iconic gardens in the Alhambra. The garden is centered around a long, narrow canal that is lined with cypress trees. The canal is fed by a fountain, and it creates a soothing sound of running water.

Patio de los Arrayanes

Patio de los Arrayanes is another beautiful garden in the Nasrid Palaces.

The Court of the Myrtles (Patio de los Arrayanes) has received different names throughout time. Its current name is due to the myrtle bushes that surround the central pond and the bright green color which contrasts with the white marble of the patio.

Patio de la Sultana

Patio de la Sultana is a smaller garden located in the Nasrid Palaces. The garden is named after the wife of the Nasrid Sultan, and it is said to be her favorite place to relax. The garden is filled with flowers, and it offers a sense of privacy and seclusion.

Patio de Lindaraja

The garden is named after a beautiful woman who was said to live there.

The garden is filled with flowers, and it offers a sense of peace and tranquility and is one of the most tranquil areas in the whole monument.

Tips to visit the gardens
